I’m a dog mom, sister, and aunt to seven nieces and nephews. My passion is teaching others how to live a happy and healthy lifestyle! I also have a love of cooking, traveling, reading, volunteering, and playing sports! I have always dreamed of having a career that would allow me the flexibility to pursue all of the things I love in life.
I was born in Hawaii and raised in Southern California. I have lived in Camarillo for 12 years and love the people and environment, making it one of my favorite places I’ve lived. (or something along the lines of what you love about camarillo)
My love of fitness started as a middle and high school athlete doing long distance track, dance, martial arts, and I have a first degree black belt in Shaolin Kenpo.
I went to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and I have a degree in Political Science with a minor in Psychology. I received my teaching credential from Cal State Northridge and became a social science teacher. When the recession hit, I took what was supposed to be a temporary job in accounting until I could get back to teaching. Eleven years later I still work as an accountant. As the years went by and I came to terms with the end of my teaching career, I yearned for a way to teach again.
When I met my mentor Nathan Jones who was my personal trainer, I realized personal training and nutrition coaching could be a great way to teach again. Last year I took the plunge and got certified and I am so blessed to have found a career that combines my love of teaching and my love of fitness.
